Oldest Car Club in
Southern California Celebrates
60 Years
Happy New Year everyone!
Now that all the festivities are over and everyone has had time to settle into the new year, it’s time to get back to business as usual, or hopefully improve upon what we all accomplished last year.
This just so happens to be our 60th year, and to really show the Road King colors, we have had a custom jacket designed to show off our fantastic new 60th logo. Show up at this month’s meeting for a special fitting. Jackets will be ordered ONLY one time and one time only, SO BE THERE! Cost will be determined a later, but you don’t want to be the only member without the 60th. As a side note: jackets are only for Road King members and their wives.
Please congratulate Rodger Nervel as our new Sergeant at Arms, all other officers remain the same.
See you all @ our meeting.
Keep Cruisin’
Rick

The Tour of the Rubelia Castle in Glendora is set for January 21st. Meet at the donut shop @ 9 am. The Castle is Mike Buel’s childhood dream, built over a period of 26 years and has been featured on Huell Howser’s “California Gold.” We will lunch afterward at “Legends Classic Diner” in Glendora. The castle is located at 844 N Live Oak Ave., north of Foothill Blvd. All wives are invited.

Happy New Year everyone!. Yeah it’s the money man calling for you to open your wallets and fork over your annual dues. Bring your cash or checks to this month’s meeting. Rosters are going to be redone after January 31st, and will reflect paid up members only.

Treasurer
2012 will mark the 60th Anniversary of the Road Kings, probably the best known car club in California and the Nation.
Over the years, we have created an excellent reputation within the community, with our fund raisers and charities we help with.
Let’s all work together as a club to make this year the BEST ever for all the Road Kings.

Johnny Carson Car Show Car Show
For everyone’s information, we are gearing up for the Johnny Carson show scheduled for this June. We are looking for photographs, ticket stubs of racing events, etc from original members as well as current members. From any event or show, and more that we can copy (will be returned to owner) The Road King’s office has a huge selection of CD’s from events throughout the years, but would like more from the original Road Kings, and personal photos taken from all Road King events.

FRESHENING THE ENGINE, TRANS, REAR END, AND BRAKES. I MAY GET TO TEST IN JANUARY, AND MY FIRST RACE IS IN FEBRUARY IN VEGAS. ANY WAY THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND KIND THOUGHTS. I REALLY APPRECIATE THE BEAUTIFUL AWARD I WAS GIVEN AT THE CHRISTMAS PARTY. IT MEANS A LOT TO ME. THE CLUB HAS ALWAYS BEEN SO KIND TO ME.SPECIAL THANKS TO OUR RACE DIRECTORS STAN AND SHARRON DALTON, AND THANK YOU SUE BALDASRONI FOR MAKING SOME SENSE OF MY RAMBLING. It came with unlimited quantity of complimentary coffee, hot chocolate, variety of juice drinks and Krispy Kreme donuts. Also included a complimentary $10 program that had the order of appearance … with picture of every float w/info as well as information of all the groups that were in the parade.
